Coldplay are a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1997. The group comprises vocalist/pianist/guitarist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Will Champion. Coldplay have been one of the most commercially successful acts of the new millennium, selling over 30 million albums. The band are well known for their hit singles, such as "Yellow", "Speed of Sound", the Grammy Award-winning "Clocks" and their latest single "Viva La Vida". Coldplay describes their musical style as "very heavy soft rock."
The members of the band met at the University College London (UCL) in September 1996. A mutual friend, permitted the band to use the name "Coldplay", which he had used for his band but then thought the name was "too depressing".
Coldplay released their first full-length album, Parachutes, in July 2000, which debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart. Coldplay's third album, X&Y, was released in June 2005 in UK and Europe. It became the best-selling album of 2005 with worldwide sales of 8.3 million. Defying renewed rumours of a band breakup and Chris Martin's marriage to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, the band's third album found them in fine form.
Chris Martin has described this album as a new direction for Coldplay: a change from their past 'trilogy'. "Violet Hill" has entered the UK Top 10, US Top 40. The title track "Viva la Vida" was also released exclusively on iTunes and has reached since number 3 on the Hot 100.
Lead singer Chris Martin is married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow and have two children Apple, 3, and Moses, 18 months.

Madonna as Hard Candy
Madonna has done it again with Hard Candy. The album features vocal appearances by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Pharell Williams and Kanye West. It is in with the times and has an overall hip-hop/urban pop feel, while remaining a dance-pop record at heart.
The album though is not Madonna’s best work but it sure does pull some strings with songs like 4 Minutes and Give It 2 Me.
The album debuted at number one in 27 countries, including UK, Australia, and US. In UK, Madonna joins the select group of artists to achieve ten number one albums, behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles. It officially debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and Hard Candy became her seventh number one album, making her the second female artist with the most number one albums, behind Barbra Streisand.

Usher's New Album, Here I Stand
Here I Stand is Usher’s follow-up to his history-making, 9x platinum-selling Confessions. Within the first week of the release of Confessions, Usher sold more than any other R&B artist in the history of Soundscan.
Usher’s album's first single, "Love in This Club," is #1 in the country and made the third-largest jump to the top in the 50-year history of Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The quick rise of "Love in This Club" — which features Young Jeezy — can partially be credited to producer Polow Da Don's triumphant club beat and his impetuous nature. He leaked the song several weeks before it was supposed to be released.
The Here I Stand recording sessions have included collaborations with Dupri, Dre & Vidal, Timbaland, Ludacris and Nelly. “Love In This Club” also claims the No. 1 spot on iTunes tracks charts during the first week of its release. This accomplishment marks Usher’s eighth No. 1 single in the United States. Entertainment Weekly calls it a “Must” listen, proclaiming that Usher “returns with his magnetic club groove.”

Love Story 2050 - Music is done by Anu Malik. “Milo Na Milo” is probably the best song in this album and the other okay ones are “Mausam Achanak Badla Kyon”, “Sach Kehna” and “Meelon Ka Jaisa Tha Fasla”. The album also features “Aa Gaya Hoon Main” by Kay Kay. There are happy and sad versions of “Meelon Jaisa Tha Fasla” and “Jaane Kaisi Hai Teri Meri Love Story”. Alisha’s also got to sing “Lover Boy Will You” for Anu Malik once again. However, the songs do not really have futuristic lyrics or music.
Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic -has music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and lyrics by Prasoon Joshi (Fanaa, Hum Tum). The music is not too great. In spite of such names around, somehow one isn't too enthused about the film's music. All it has are few forgettable soulful melodies with a serene feel to it, 'Pyaar Ke Liye' is a feel good number about enjoying the goodies that life has to offer.
De Taali - emerges as an enjoyable album! 20 seconds into 'Everybody Put Your Hands Together' and you can find your neck swaying with the song's beats. It is cool, funky and energetic - everything which goes perfectly well with the club setting mood. A dance number which sees Sunidhi Chauhan, Anushka Manchanda and Shaan coming together, it is quite contemporary and has a Vishal-Shekhar stamp all over it. Not that the song is plain rhythm and beats - it has its own share of melody as well, especially in the middle portions - but overall it sticks to the club mix genre!
